INFORMATION FROM THE UNSEEN MAN

The Holy Spirit does not speak for the purpose of providing information, He speaks for a response.

'Hear Oh Israel the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Howbeit, when the Spirit of Truth is come He will guide you into all truth.' The individual who is not "doing" does not need a guide. The Lord, who is one, expects us to, in these day listen to the Spirit's pleading on our hearts and do what He says and move accordingly to His instructions.

Among ancient Israel, in the time of Moses and the prophets who followed, Israel faced reproach when as a nation, she failed to move according to the "thus saith the Lord", failed to live according to the statutes laid out before them in the covenant relationship with Almighty God. Every commandments set before the people of God, when lived in the life of each believer, gave testimony to which God they served.

The wisdom of how they set up camp even in the wilderness, the obedience of not moving from any location until the pillar of cloud lifted, the sincerity of honouring the God who brought them out of Egypt in true worship to the God of heaven.

The same Lord who guided Mishael, Azariah, Hananiah and Daniel to reject the portion from the king's table and refuse to bow in Dura before the golden image, is the same Lord who protected them, guided even their words to those in authority and then granted them special favour in the presence of their enemies. Their allegiance to the Almighty God was unwavering as they understood that you cannot serve God and mammon.

Like Elisha declared, if God be God then serve Him. Serve Him when it is decreed that if you pray to any god but Darius you will be cast in the lion's den. Stand for Him when the furnace is heated seven times more. Have singleness of purpose when the Potiphar's wives of our times lay in wait to seduce you.

Remember that although you are yet to see the fulfilment of His revealed will for your life, there is safety in allowing God to be sovereign in your temple reigning on the throne of your heart. And only then will you hear the voice behind thee saying, this is the way walk ye in it.

And when the good Lord of heaven comes, may He find you doing what the Spirit has spoken to your heart. Because, "My sheep know my voice, I know them and they follow me".
