Tribute for the late Jasmine Simone Mc'kenzie (Henny)

"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts."

Jasmine's presence on the world's stage demonstrated that she was not a minor actress neither was her past anything short of magnanimous, in its far reaching impact in the lives she touched. She magically always seemed to take centerstage wether it was standing up for others or anyone whom she perceived to be family; injustice was never portrayed, as it was never in her script!

She was casted as: resilient daughter, competitive sibling, endeared niece, "everybody's cousin" super mom, dutiful wife, influential manager and she was a fervent prayer warrior. These are some of her leading roles. However, depending on who you are, the roles she played would vary greatly as she was adaptable to any degree of pressure introduced to the plot, irrespective of the plot twist.

The surprised ending which has brought us here today, has left many of us in tears, in shock, in grief and in unbearable pain.

At this first memorial we paused to reflect on a life poured out in service to her family, community and her God, a fashionista par excellence, her culinary gifting beyond compare are seemingly minute when compared to the daunting anticlimax of her short but well lived life. This has taken us to season finale to a leading cast that assuredly deserving of an Oscar.

For the onlookers gathered today, may the various Days of her life being highlighted today as Bold and Beautiful as they appeared and should be passed on to the Generations wether you are Young or Reckless, may Henny's life point you to the solidarity found in the ultimate playwright Jesus Christ. The season finale of this episode though painful it is, should not preclude the sequel in the earth made new should we all remain faithful. God bless us one and all!
